Ingredients for John’s Chili:
- 1 lb ground beef.
- 1 med onion; chopped.
- 1 cup mushrooms; chopped.
- 1 large poblano; chopped.
- 2 tbsp Lawry’s Seasoning Salt.
- 3 tbsp chili powder.
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper.
- 3 cloves garlic; minced.
- 2 (15 oz) cans tomato sauce.
- 2 (15 oz) cans kidney beans; washed & drained.
- 2 tbsp light brown sugar.

- On a med-high heat, add in your ground beef, onion, mushrooms, poblano, seasoning salt, chili, and cayenne..
- Sauté until the beef is cooked and the mushrooms wilt a little..
- Stir in your garlic and cook for 1 min..
- Add 2 cups of water (or beer of choice), tomato sauce, beans, and brown sugar. PS, beer adds a nice depth of flavor! Bring to a boil..
