  1. 400 grams Chole / Pre-cooked chickpeas.
  2. 2 Onions.
  3. 2 tomatoes.
  4. 4-5 Green Chillies.
  5. 5-6 Garlic cloves.
  6. 1 tbsp Ginger.
  7. to taste Salt.
  8. 1/4 tsp Cinnamon & cloves powder.
  9. 1 pinch Cardamom powder.
  10. 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds.
  11. 3 tbsp Oil.
  12. 1/2 tbsp Coriander powder.
  13. 1/2 tsp Chilli powder.
  14. 1/2 Dry mango powder.
  15. 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder.
  16. 1 cup Coriander leaves.
  17. as needed Water.

Step by step how to cook Easiest Chickpeas Masala | Amritsari Chole Masala:

  1. Grind onions, tomatoes, chilli, ginger and garlic into a paste..
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, then add cardamom powder, cinnamon & cloves powder..
  3. Add masala paste & some water. Cover and cook until the raw smell goes..
  4. Add coriander powder, chilli powder, garam masala, dry mango powder, turmeric powder and cumin powder. Mix well and cook that on a low flame..
  5. Add some more water depending on your requirement and salt, cook for 2 mins and add pre-cooked chickpeas..
  6. Cover and cook on a low heat for 5 to 6 minutes. Add coriander leaves, serve with some onion and lemon slices..
