Ingredients for Easy Cheesebread:
- 1 loaf day old bread from Jimmy John's.
- 1 block Colby Jack cheese.
- 3 slices Pepper Jack cheese.
- Parmesan/Romano cheese shaker.
- Butter (stick or spreadable).
- Garlic salt shaker.
Step by step how to cook Easy Cheesebread:
- Preheat your oven to 390F degrees.
- Use a sharp knife and cut the loaf of bread in half vertically (kind of like you're making a very long sandwich).
- Cut your two skinny, long loafs into thirds so that you have 6 total pieces.
- Butter all pieces of bread on the cut side so that it covers the whole slice.
- Sprinkle the Parmesan-Romano cheese on all the slices. Not too much, though.
- Sprinkle a small amount of garlic salt around each slice so that there is enough per bite. I personally made a mix of the cheeses and garlic salt so I can do both at the same time.
- Fold the Pepper Jack slices in half so that each half can fit onto a slice of bread. Put the cheese on the bread.
- Using a cheese slicer, cut six slices of cheese (approx. 4 inches long each) and place on top of Pepper Jack slices. Here is a picture for reference of the cheese slice sizes.
- Grease a cookie sheet or cooking pan and place the slices of bread onto the pan. Put in the oven for 15 minutes.
- The bread should be browned around the edges and the cheese should be bubbling. You may need to adjust the heat depending on your oven. You're good to go otherwise!.
