Ingredients for Red Mud Pie:
- 1 packages Instant Butterscotch Pudding.
- 1/2 cup milk.
- 1 packages Cool Whip (regular size).
- 1 Ready Made Crust (I used chocolate, but graham would be good, too).
Step by step how to cook Red Mud Pie:
- Put milk in a medium mixing bowl..
- Add butterscotch pudding mix. Beat with wire whisk until smooth. (Will be quite thick).
- Fold in 1/2 of the whipped cream.
- Mix well but do not whip..
- Pour mixture into your pie crust..
- Put the rest of your whipped cream on top..
- Refrigerate for an hour. (Sets well after at least 30 mins).
- Now, I've made this by ear for a while now, y'all. I sometimes add butterscotch chips. 1/2 bag to the filling mix (can put in chopper to make smaller) and the other 1/2 bag on top. Maybe drizzled with butterscotch sundae syrup on top..
